Introduction: Metabolic diseases have been a major cause of morbidity and mortality in developed and developing countries. However, there are still few studies that evaluate the occurrence of diseases such as type II diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemias and other metabolic disorders associated with obesity in the field of indigenous health.
