Stress can alter feeding behavior, hormonal and metabolic parameters, including the preference for diets rich in fat and sugar, called comfort food. It has been suggested that this type of food attenuates the endocrin e stress response. In this study we investigated the effects of chronic unpredictable and mild stress (CUMS) on feeding behavior, hormonal and metabolic parameters in rats with access to comfort food.
