Results from phase-one of a research programme into the strategies and ‘bad habits’ used to deal with email at work were presented. 88 strategies and 7 bad habits were revealed in this interview research, alongside 8 ‘reason’ codes given for their implementation. Delegates are invited to consider which strategies they tend to employ. The onus will be on imparting recommendations for improving email management, according to personal style, and reflecting on how one’s activity can have negative implications for one’s work and well-being
