© Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2003. Ring-based architectural model is usually employed to promote the scalability and robustness of agent-based systems. However there are no criteria for evaluating the performance of ring-based architectural model. In this paper, we introduce an evaluation approach to comparing the performance of ring-based architectural model with other ones.
