Abstract This presentation introduces Space Syntax as a science-based and human-focused approach to urban planning that integrates multiple disciplines including urban design, transport planning, land use economics and environmental engineering. It presents techniques of data analytics and predictive computing to shape the social, economic and environmental impacts of development at all scales. In the context of designing human centred mobility systems, it’s not just the infrastructure system requirements shaping the environment, but the needs of the people using it.
