This paper demonstrates a technique for augmenting cun'ent World Wide Web browser implementations with features found in classical hypertext applications but unknown to the World Wide Web community until now. An example implementation is shown using Netscape Navigator 4.x using JavaSeript, dynamic HTML and Java. The implementation follows an architecture based on a proxy server which aets as a gateway between the Internet and the browsing dient. Based on the detailed example, support for further features is diseussed
