Der Artikel beschreibt die Herstellung und Charakterisierung von Vorformen für die Innenhochdruck-Umformung (IHU) mittels flexiblen Walzprofilierens und belegt die Machbarkeit einer solchen Prozesskette durch Anwendung auf ein Demonstratorbauteil. Die beim flexiblen Walzprofilieren entstehenden, entlang der Profillängsachse veränderlichen Querschnitte erweitern dabei signifikant die bisher gültigen Grenzen der Formgebung in der IHU.
