Literary works as a Media in Proselytizing: An Analysisi of Novel ayat-Ayat Cinta and Pohon Tanpa Akar

Novel as a genre of literature in the most excellent media to provocation and can be usde by any people to run his or her mission as one of horizon of expectation to build the nation. It is not only to enjoy as the reading materials for students but also a reading materials for students at boarding school and ustaz. Novel AAC and Threes Without Roots can be the most informative novels by looking through at the point of dakwah, moral and religion. These novel enable to promotethe country where it is firstly published and the shake the nation. However, I tried to present this paper under the title "Literary works as a Media in Proselytizing: An Analysisi of Novel ayat-Ayat Cinta and Pohon Tanpa Akar" The first one is written by El-Shirazy and the second is by Syed Waliullah. These novels explained the problems how dakwah endeavoured by the main character through his action, either propagating the people araound him to perform the prayer or by submitting to their Creator. The aim of this study is to find out how the literary works used in religious proselytizing. These novels are analyzing by reading comprehension through scanning and skimming in order to understand the meaning of the texts and ideas of the authors. The authors tried to expose the issue of poligamy which still questioned in Indonesia
