The purpose of this study by students of English Department of Ar-Raniry State Islamic university to know the student’s perception on using of think pair share strategy in speaking class. Qualitative analysis was used to interpret the study, participant, and responses to interview questions. The researcher found that all participants had similar perception and point of few on using TPS strategy including importance being active in the speaking class. The researcher employed one technique of collecting data that is interview. The interview was distributed to 10 participants from unit 1 and unit 7 as interviews.
