This study was aimed to know the effect of using Duolingo in teaching English to improve students’ ability in mastering vocabulary, also to know the students’ perception toward the implementation of Duolingo in teaching English subject at MTsN 2 Aceh Besar. This research is pre-experimental research. This research only need one class as an object with five meeting in implementation the Duolingo. The data collection techniques were test before and after the treatment, and the questionnaire. Based on the quantitative data, the students’ score for each indicator was increased. The average score of Pre-Test is 44.75, and the average score of Post-Test is 59.75. It shows that the Post-Test’s mean is higher than the Pre-Test’s mean. The result sh...
