The work presented in this thesis introduces a novel converter topology and associated controller for pulsed power systems. The presented work offers a flexible solution to the challenges of pulsed power charging by managing long pulse duration and high pulsing frequency while avoiding the limitations of linear solutions. The proposed converter is flexible, allows universal conversion ratios, high frequency operation and its viability is verified through an application specific design. The operating modes and control methods of the proposed topology for operation as a pulsed power supply are analyzed.
