A single-nucleotide polymorphisms-based genomic relationship matrix (GSNP) discriminate less identity by state from identity by descent (IBD) alleles compared with a multi-locus haplotype-based relationship matrix (GHAP), which can better capture IBD alleles and recent relationships.
