The goal of standardized testing is purportedly to equalize the educational landscape for all students, regardless of background. However, the effects of imposing large-scale assessment on students, teachers, and the education system might not always be as positive as organizations such as Ontario’s Education Quality and Accountability Office have acknowledged.
