The purpose of this study is to understand how collaborative teaching methods are currently being used as a means to enact Culturally Responsive and Relevant Pedagogy (CRRP). This study, through two semi-structured interviews explores the experiences of an administrator and educator of an elementary school as they pertain to collaborative teaching and culturally relevant pedagogy. This study found that although maintained with difficulty, the participants value and actively partake in collaborative approaches. It was further found that an individual’s role as an administrator or educator and their cultural backgrounds may have an impact in the level of importance and understanding of CRRP.
