Background: Mature sacrococcygeal teratomas (SCT) are uncommon neoplasms comprised of mixed elements derived from the three germ cell layers. They attract attention because of their gross appearance and bizarre histology. Aim: To demonstrate the clinical presentation and management of mature SCT in a neonate. Patient and Method: A case report of a neonate with mature SCT is hereby presented. Results: A 10-day old baby boy presented with a mature SCT comprising well- developed lower limb, rudimentary external genitalia and teeth. He had complete surgical excision (including coccygectomy) with primary wound closure and uneventful postoperative recovery.
