Comportamiento del plátano (Musa AAB Subgrupo plátano, cv. Hartón Gigante) sembrado a diferentes densidades de siembra en el Estado Yaracuy, Venezuela

The purpose of this work was evaluate with small plantain producers of the Yaracuy state, the behavior of plantain (Musa AAB cv. Subgroup Horn plantain), in high plant density . Cormos of ′Hartσn Gigante′, were planted in both double row with one and two plants per site and single rows with one and three plants per site. The populations established were: 1458 (T1), 1750 (T2), 2916 (T3), 3300 (T4), y 1100 plant ha -1 (T5), traditional system. The experiment was carried out considering the requirements and traditional labors of the productive zone, and the treatments were evaluated during two cycles in a randomized blocks design with 4 replications, therefore was carried with sucker removal traditional and pruning fitting. The following variables: number of leaves (nh), plant high (Ap), pseudostem diameter (Ds), weight and length of the bunches (Pr, Lr), number of fingers and hands (nd, nm), length and diameter of the fingers (Ld, Dd), length of the peduncle and rachis (Lp, Lr), and yield for sowed area (RAS) were evaluated. In the first cycle, highly significant differences were found for Ap and Ds, and the major values were to the highest density of sowing (T4). While, the PR was significant and the better values were to T2 y T4. Highly significant differences were also found for RAS and the T3 and T4 present the better yields were obtained (24.70 and 21.15 t ha -1 , respectively). These results had narrow relationship with the number of productive plants harvested in the treatments, which were fewer in those with high-population densities, due to the effect of inter-specific competition. For the second cycle, the number datos process were minor, showed effect negative of high plant density without competition plants regulation.Para evaluar el comportamiento del plátano Hartón gigante sembrado a diferentes densidades de siembra en el estado Yaracuy, manejado por pequeños productores, cormos de Hartón Gigante, fueron sembrados en doble hilera intercalada con una y dos plantas por punto; y en hileras simples con una y tres plantas por punto. Las poblaciones, estudiadas (plantas/ha) fueron: 1458 (T1), 1750 (T2), 2916 (T3), 3300 (T4) y 1100 (T5), sistema tradicional. El experimento se ajustó a los requerimientos y labores tradicionales de la zona, y los tratamientos fueron evaluados durante dos ciclos, en un diseño de bloques completos al azar con 4 repeticiones, por cuanto no se realizó poda de emparejamiento, y se realizó deshije tradicional. Se evaluaron las variables altura de planta (Ap), diámetro seudotallo (Ds), número de hojas a la cosecha (nh), peso y largo del racimo (PR, Lr), número dedos y manos (nd,nm), largo y diámetro dedo (Ld, Dd), largo pedúnculo y raquis (Lp, Lr) y rendimiento por área sembrada (RAS). En el primer ciclo, las variables Ap, Ds, resultaron con diferencias altamente significativas, y los mayores valores corresponden con el T4. Mientras que el PR resultó con diferencias significativas, Observándose los mayores valores para los tratamientos T2 y T4. El RAS resultó con diferencias altamente significativas, y los T3 y T4, presentaron los mayores rendimientos (24,70 y 21,15t/ha respectivamente). Estos resultados guardan estrecha relación con el número de plantas cosechadas en los tratamientos, que fueron menores en aquellos de mayor densidad poblacional, debido al efecto de competencia interespecifica existente. Para el segundo ciclo, la cantidad de datos procesados fue mucho menor, evidenciándose el efecto negativo de altas poblaciones sin regulación de competencia
