The ability to infer others’ thoughts, intentions, and feel- ings is regarded as uniquely human. Over the last few decades, this remarkable ability has captivated the attention of philoso- phers, primatologists, clinical and developmental psychologists, anthropologists, social psychologists, and cognitive neuroscien- tists.
