grantor: University of Toronto'Aim'. To develop a predictive model for survival in a palliative radiotherapy clinic. 'Methods and materials'. Sixteen factors were analyzed prospectively by multi-variate regression. 'Results'. Six prognostic factors--primary site, site of metastases, KPS, fatigue, appetite and shortness of breath--provided a survival prediction score (SPS). Patients were divided into 3 groups. Group A (SPS =5 factors): 46%, 24%, and 11%. 'Conclusion'. The model appears promising but requires validation.M.Sc
