grantor: University of TorontoThe study's main objective was to evaluate the association between intakes of dietary fiber fractions (DFF) and breast cancer risk (BCR). In this matched nested case-control study, among pre-menopausal women, the intake (difference between 10th and 90th percentile of the distribution of DFF intake) of cellulose, soluble fiber, insoluble fiber and lignin was inversely associated with BCR with odds ratios and 95%CIs of 0.30 (0.44-0.69), 0.34 (0.44-0.74), 0.58 (0.29-1.17), 0.50 (0.46-1.00), respectively.
