A EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL EM ESCOLAS DO MUNICÍPIO DE ANTA GORDA - RS, BRASIL

This work aimed to promote actions to concientize students involved in an environmental education project in the municipality of Anta Gorda, Rio Grande do Sul State - Brazil. Based on concrete activities followed by pre-tests, the results obtained were interpreted and discussed. The work begins in 2002 (march), including 04 schools of fundamental teaching. It was perceived that transdiciplinarity/interdisciplinarity methodology is needed in environmental education projects. The knowledge in this area can be considered ample, but it seems that the works are fragmented. The historical/ cultural aspects also need to be considered in the execution of projects. The signification of the views of individuals or groups on the physical, economical and social environment must be understood to avoid them to be paralyzed in the reality. The work must contribute to permit a better life quality by little actions developed in the school. The alternative appears to be found in the school itself, as it is a space of colective, physical and mental construction
