The aim of the study was to provide potentials of bioenergy in energy production in Finland for the years 1995-2010. The potential increase of bioenergy consumption, from the level 5.5 Mtoe/a, is 60 % in the Basic Scenario, 40 % in the Minimum and 90 % in the Maximum Scenarios. In all the Scenarios, the relative share of bioenergy would increase compared to the start level, that is mainly due to the estimated growth in the forest industry production. Also in the future, over 60 % of bioenergy is used in the forest industry that could increase the use of bioenergy with 2.1 Mtoe/a by 2010 according to the Basic Scenario.
