High speed quasi-simultaneous welding of polymers can be considered as a process which can create high quality welds with short welding times and a wide power range. The flexibility of the process and processing tools makes it possible to create welds with complex shapes and sizes and it enables new design possibilities for polymer components.In most of cases laser welding results in scientific articles are studied by performing weld tests and the welding result i.e. the weld quality is evaluated afterwards.
