Modeling software are used in simulating industrial processes such as papermaking in order to improve the efficiency of the process. Optimization methods are combined with simulation in order to maximize the advantages of these simulation tools as it is done in this study, too. This enables us to study the papermaking process effectively and in a sophisticated way. Thus, in this paper we consider different papermaking production tasks from efficiency and economical point of view and optimize the whole papermaking process including a TMP mill, stock preparation, short circulation, a papermachine and finishing.
