A dynamic model for a heavy rotating paper machine roller and a hydraulic force actuator system is modified for the simulation of active vibration damping. The model is built using ADAMS simulation software. The control system for active damping is modelled using Matlab/Simulink software and C programming. The simulated system corresponds to a real test system used in an earlier project (PYÖRIVÄRE). Some comparisons between the model and the real system are done and the main sources for the differences are found in roller unbalance and the tuning of the force feedback controllers (analogue PID:s)
