An improved hydrodynamic model is developed for estimating wetting efficiency, pressure drop, and liquid holdup in trickle-bed reactors. The model is based on the hydrodynamic model presented in Alopaeus et al. [Alopaeus, V.; Hynynen, K.; Aittamaa, J.; Manninen, M.
