In this project, we have introduced a vision of the future and created a roadmap for maintaining and further developing Finnish arctic expertise. Around 4 million people live in the Arctic regions and the attractiveness of the region internationally has increased significantly in recent years. Behind this interest are drivers of global change such as climate change, energy demand, oil/raw material prices, tourism, new bio-economic structures, global transport, urbanisation, world population growth and development of technologies.
