The paper presents a collection of the results of projects where the moisture performance of highly insulated new buildings was monitored for a period of three years. The evaluation covered two new buildings in Southern Finland. The critical parts of the non-ventilated wall structures and the ventilated crawls spaces were monitored. Mould index solved using VTT mould model was used as the main performance criteria. The three year monitoring period of the two energy efficient buildings didn't show any possible mould growth conditions in any of the monitored structures or crawl spaces. There were no signs that energy efficient building envelope solutions would affect the moisture performance
