We take an approach for human posture and activity monitoring with very low cost low-intrusive capacitive proximity sensors. The sensor system relies on wireless sensor network technologies and is integrated to the monitoring software and end users via the internet. The motivation is in tracking the behavior and detecting abnormal living patterns of elderly people living at home
