The existing building stock has been typically renovated more because of functional and visual obsolescence than technological obsolescence. Today this kind of renovation is not enough; upgrading is needed to fulfil energy efficiency requirements. The existing old companies have conveniently left room for new companies to develop to fill this niche in the market. The risk is that building renovation could remain a perpetual opportunity and that the building stock will eventually be replaced. This is also one among solutions - if supply doesn't meet demand, then the demand must be re-order to meet supply. Another option is mat building renovation will produce a new industry with own identity, production and process model
