India has come a long way since the troubled days in 1991, when the new government opted for the liberalisation of the economy. This publication provides an analysis of the current development trends and industry practices in two particularly successful sectors of the Indian economy: IT services and telecoms. In IT services the focus has been placed on the export of services from India, and in telecoms on the domestic wireless market. In addition, the publication provides a brief introduction to India as a business environment.
