A literature survey on motion dynamics of subsea vehicles is given. The survey includes equations of motion for vessels of different shape, existing simulation programs and theoretical approaches to predict coefficients in the equations of motion or trajectories of a vessel. Special features included in the survey are the use of thrusters and stability of motion of subsea vehicles
