The purpose of this study were to find out: (1) whether or not there is significant correlation between reading motivation and reading comprehension achievement of the eleventh grade students of MAN 2 Palembang, (2) whether or not reading motivation significantly influence reading comprehension achievement of the eleventh grade students of MAN 2. The population of this study was the whole classes of 11th grade which consist of three hundred forty six students. And then one hundred forty seven students was selected as the sample by using purposive sampling technique.
