The aims of conducting this research were; (1) to find out whether or not there was a significant correlation between metacognitive strategies and their listening comprehension; and (2) to find out whether or not metacognitive strategies significantly influences their listening comprehension. This research used correlational study. There were 97 students from four classes of the eleventh grade students of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang as the population of this research. The 94 students participated in this study, and the others were absent when conducting this study. The sample of this study was taken by using total population sampling technique.
