The objective of the study is to find out whether or not there is any significant difference on students’ reading comprehension achievement taught using that was then this is now strategy and teacher’s method. The population of the study was the eighth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Palembang in the academic year of 2014/2015. The sample of the study was convenience sampling tehnique. The writer was assisted the class VIII.1 as the experimental group and VIII.2 as the control group. It consisted of 63 students, 32 students for experimental group and 31 students for control group.
