FONOTAKTIK BAHASA BANJAR (BANJARESE PHONOTACTIC)

Banjarese Phonotactic. The focus of this linguistic research is the distribution of phonemes and the rulesof phonemic changes of Banjarese language, by using descriptive method that aims to determine thedistribution of phonemes and the rules of phonemic changes as well as to describe or explain the eventor occurence objectively. The data collection was done by using direct observation technique and study ofliterature. This study focuses on order of sounds in words or phonotactic system of Banjarese phonemes.Therefore, this study is going to get in the discription of the row system of Banjarese phonemes, tofind out the rules of distribution of phonemes in Banjarese words,to set the system of syllabification ofBanjarese words that can determine the rules of sound-change inBanjarese language, to discribe changesin the pronunciation of a phoneme in different distribution, to know the types of cluster types of soundwhich are possible and not possible at the level of words, and to know the problem that arises becauseof the diasystem in Banjarese language. The results of study are vowel phonemes of Banjarese language.There are five, namely /a/,/i/, /u/, /o/, and /./. All these phonemes by its distribution can be used in theinitial position, the middle position, and end position. There are eighteen consonant phonemes Banjareselanguage, namely: /p/, /b/, /t/, /d/, /c/, /j/, /k/, /g/, /s/, /h/, /m/, /n/, /./, /ñ/, /r/, /l/, /w/, and /y/. All thesephonemes by their distribution can be used in the initial position, the middle position, and end position,with the exception of phonemes of /b/, /d/, /j/, /g/, and /ñ/that can not be used in the final position.There are four syllable patterns of Banjarese language, namely: V, VK, KV, and KVK. Of the patterns ofsyllables, limitations emergence of vowel phonemes and consonant phonemes on syllables of the disyllabicKVKKVK.Key words: phonotactic, distribution of phoneme
