Cultural Elements and Universality in the Process of Globalization : A Tentative Approach to a Theorization of Culture in sociology

"The main purpose of this paper is to propose a conceptual scheme for the analysis of cultural globalization in accordance with the Parsonian notion of culture, and to point out some problematic issues caused by cultural globalization: the unbalanced development of cultural elements and the prevalence of the pseudo universality of a dominant particular culture.
