Fleets of electric vehicles have the potential to be used as traffic and electric grid resources in cities with proper management. This thesis models an electric vehicle battery and a bidirectional charger with real and reactive power control. These will later be used in a larger simulation of a distribution network with a fleet of electric vehicles and distributed chargers in a city with vehicle-to-grid (V2G) and grid-to-vehicle (G2V) applications. The vehicle charger is capable of receiving real and reactive power commands and adjusting the battery current through several feedback loops.
