High resolution absorption spectra of hot ammonia have been recorded in the 2400--5500 cm$^{-1}$ region and the line lists are presented. This extends our previous work on ammonia in the 740--4000 cm$^{-1}$ regionfootnote{R.J. Hargreaves, G. Li and P.F. Bernath. 2011, ApJ, 735, 111}$^{,}$footnote{R.J. Hargreaves, G. Li and P.F. Bernath. 2011, JQSRT, 113, 670} and utilizes our improved cell design that has been successfully applied to methane in a similar spectral region. Transmission spectra were acquired for seven temperatures up to 700$^{circ}$C using a Bruker IFS 125HR Fourier transform spectrometer and empirical lower state energies are obtained from the temperature dependence of intensities.
