281 p.Thesis (Ph.D.)--University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 2009.Taking into account the characteristics of directionality and projection inherent to language unfolding incrementally in real time interaction, this study reveals that right-expansions emerge as a systematic syntactically structured resource in real-time interaction.
