Iron Release From Corrosion Scales in Old Iron /Steel Drinking Water Distribution Pipes

According to the model, iron release from corrosion scales can be controlled, in general, by either (a) promoting a denser scale microstructure, or (b) inhibiting dissolution of corrosion scale components.
