141 p.Thesis (Ph.D.)--University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 2002.The results of this study suggest that deaf children with ASL proficiency may need more time to develop measurable improvements in English proficiency but the long-term gain is evidence of richer language use in the writing samples of the 6th graders with High ASL proficiency.
