123 p.Thesis (Ph.D.)--University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 1983.A two state variable unified creep-plasticity model is proposed and evaluated for type 304 stainless steel under uniaxial loading and isothermal conditions. The model is also modified so that nonisothermal behavior can be simulated. Predictions of the behavior of a two-bar structure under thermal shock loading are compared with experimental results.A multiaxial form of the model is proposed for proportional loading, and modifications are made for nonproportional loading. The responses to two complex axial-torsion strain histories are predicted and compared with experimental data.U of I OnlyRestricted to the U of I community idenfinitely during batch ingest of legacy ETD
