The resultant programs emulate the action of a target machine to the resolution of single instructions. The timing of interactions between independent modules is faithfully reproduced. The system is useful for the development of low level routines for a new machine architecture or for the evaluation of variations in the structure of a given machine.A parallel processing architecture is disected into modules for the purposes of simulation. The operations performed in a module are translated into separate programs written in the language "C". ...
