ILSAM (The Illinois Streamflow Assessment Model) is a water resources management tool that provides statistical information on streamflow quantity, primarily for low and medium flows. ILSAM combines processed data from streamgage records and recent information on water use withdrawals and effluent discharges to provide its users with an assessment of the up-to-date changes in flow variability for all stream locations throughout a river basin. ILSAM can also simulate the potential effects of hypothetical water resources projects to provide its users with an estimate of future streamflow conditions. This information can be useful for evaluating the water supply for potable and irrigation use, potential conflicts in water use, wastewater effl...
