The dynamics of insolation condition have an effect on the performance and energy output of photovoltaic (PV) systems. Therefore, it is sensible to monitor the output performance of a PV system on the sub-module level under real-time insolation conditions. However, measurements of the PV module so far are often conducted either under standard test conditions (STC) where insolation lacks diversity, or at a power grid level where the characteristics of individual modules are ignored.
