The purpose of this study is to examine the membership of Black Greek-letter organizations and the impact that they may or may not have on racial identity development of its members at predominately white institutions. This research examines the perspectives of two Black male fraternity members. The theoretical framework used is the Multidimensional Model of Racial Identity. This model provides a conceptual framework for the understanding of both the significance of race in the self-concepts of African Americans and the meaning that they attribute to being members of the racial identity.unpublishednot peer reviewe
