93 p.Thesis (Ph.D.)--University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 1984.Monte Carlo computer codes were employed to calculate depth doses for parallel beams of low-energy, monoenergetic photons incident on slab and spherical phantoms. Photon energies ranged from 10 to 150 keV. Phantom compositions include: ICRU 4-element tissue, ICRU 10-element tissue, a tissue-substitute plastic, lucite, water, and polystyrene. Tabular data are presented for 0.007, 0.3 and 1.0 g/cm('2) depths. Results are compared with calculations of other workers and with experimental data available for the tissue-substitute plastic.U of I OnlyRestricted to the U of I community idenfinitely during batch ingest of legacy ETD
