This study investigated the effects of using a microcomputer-based telecommunication network technology in teaching exploratory data analysis to eighth grade students. The effects of employing a technology-based teaching strategy on the achievement and attitudes of students from an urban middle school in an east Central Illinois community were observed in order to determine the influence of this teaching strategy.The analysis of variance and analysis of covariance were used to compare the achievement and attitude of the three groups.
