Deskripsi Fisik Tokoh dalam Novel Suti Karya Sapardi Djoko Damono

This research was aimed to describe the physical character of the main character and additional figures in the novel Suti by Sapardi Djoko Damono (SDD) and its implications for literature learning in high school. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The result of this research showed that the author used more types of subjective descriptions, analytical techniques, and impressionistic approaches in describing the physical characteristics of the main and additional characters in the Suti novel by SDD. This research was implicated in the literature in the twelfth grade of even semester in high schools in the material of the novel text.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perian fisik tokoh utama dan tokoh tambahan dalam novel Suti karya Sapardi Djoko Damono (SDD) dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran Sastra di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengarang lebih menggunakan jenis deskripsi subjektif, teknik analitik, dan pendekatan impresionistis dalam mendeskripsikan fisik tokoh utama dan tambahan pada novel Suti karya SDD. Hasil penelitian ini diimplikasikan dalam pembelajaran Sastra di SMA kelas XII semester genap pada materi teks novel.Kata kunci:implikasi, deskripsi fisik, tokoh utama, dan tokoh tambaha
