KEMAMPUAN MENULIS CERITA PENDEK SISWA KELAS XI SMA NEGERI 1 GADINGREJO

The purpose of this study was to describe the ability to write a short story in class XI student of SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo. The method used in this research was descriptive quantitative method. Based on data analysis, it was found that the ability to write short stories categorized enough with an average score of 67,75. The average score of the students ability per indicator: 1) the theme score of 79,25 good category; 2 a) the figures that were presented score of 76,15 good category, b) the presentation of the character figures score of 61,65 enough category; 3) background score of 65,25 enough category; 4 a) a series of events 63,68 category enough, b) the flow of the game score of 56,91 less categories; and 5) style language score of 67,37 enough category.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data, ditemukan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek berkategori cukup dengan skor rata-rata 67,75. Skor rata-rata kemampuan siswa perindikator adalah: 1) tema skor rata-rata 79,25 kategori baik; 2 a) tokoh yang dihadirkan skor rata-rata yaitu 76,15 kategori baik, b) penyajian watak tokoh skor rata-rata 61,65 kategori cukup; 3) latar dengan rata-rata 65,25 kategori cukup; 4 a) rangkaian peristiwa rata-rata 63,68 kategori cukup, b) permainan alur rata-rata 56,91 kategori kurang; dan 5) gaya bahasa skor rata-rata 67,37 kategori cukup.Kata kunci: cerita pendek, kemampuan, menulis
